I have chosen the double-optin system for my ezine. I know that I lose many subscribers with that system but I think it is worth it as I feel safe. YMLP have a proof system that store IP and date of subscriptions when you use the double-optin system. Double-optin simply means that the subscriber must fill a form on your webpage and click on a link from an email from YMLP to confirm their subscription.

When I get a subscription directly from my webpage they are already double optin. I get an email from YMLP to confirm that. However, when I get a subscriber outside, e.g. '2Bucks' ad Ad, I must ask the advertiser to subscribe. They must do that themselves to get the proof of IP and date of subscription.

This is the email I send to those people. Feel free to pick up the ideas but make the changes necessary.
